Content Management Systems

Almost all new sites are now built with some form of Content Management System (CMS). This enables the users to add and modify the website content and keep it fresh and current.

As much as editing a web page is often presented as just like editing a Word document it is not. Changing words and inserting an occasional image is not difficult, but once the editing requires changes to layout, or the site is larger and more complex it becomes more difficult.

We most often use WordPress as our CMS of choice for our clients. A recent survey suggested 22% of new sites created worldwide were created with WordPress and the primary reason given by users was 'ease of use'. This most often matches our clients who want a web site that can be maintained with the minimum of input with quick and easy staff training.

We have the WordPress development skills that enable existing WordPress templates to be visually and functionally morphed into almost any desired outcome.

Where needed we can write custom solutions and modifications from scratch as our goal is to get effective solutions for the end user and this does not always mean a one size fits all outcome.

This mix and match philosophy can also apply to website maintenance. A cost effective solution is often for the client to make minor changes as required and using us for more major editing and web maintenance.
